This project sought the overall objective to reinforce the capacity of CEMG entrepreneurs, developers and/or operators in the ECOWAS sub-region through ECREEE-GIZ planned initiative, in order to tackle the last major barrier identified related to the “Lack of Informational and technical capacity”. TTA’s services consisted of:
• Conducting a comprehensive documentation analysis and participating in a kick-off meeting with the relevant stakeholders as well as ECREEE and GIZ
• Conducting a qualitative study seeking to: identifying the countries with best international practices, and practical lessons learned on integrated electrification developments and its implementation, collecting and analysing the experiences of a selection of CEMGs.
• Based on the results of the qualitative study in Niger, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Senegal, provided assistance to ECREEE/GIZ to select participants to the regional training workshops among entrepreneurs, developers and/or operators, as well as preparing and conducting the regional workshop.
• Draft a technical and organizational guide to ensure sustainability and assist in disseminating results including the experience of the training participants through a publication “Lessons learned with CEMG in the ECOWAS sub-region.
